New contract with Oslo Lufthavn, Gardermoen

Malthus has been awarded a contract with Oslo Lufthavn, Gardermoen for the establishment of accommodation camps for the construction of the terminal at the main airport of Norway. The total value of the contract is estimated to approximately 270 million NOK.
In collaboration with ISS Camp Services - Malthus will be responsible for catering and accommodation during the development. Malthus (contract partner) will establish buildings and ISS will maintain operation of facilities.
In addition Malthus is responsible for the preparation of infrastructure including parking areas for construction camps, as well as operation of the parking areas and roads.
The establishment of the accommodation camps (660 rooms) will be conducted in two different locations at Gardermoen. Both camps will feature cafeteria, lounge and private welfare building. Lounge, lobby and all guest rooms will have access to television and the internet. Camp North will be ready June 1st 2011 and South Camp will be ready in the summer of 2012. Both accommodation camps will be in operation until the development is completed in 2017.
Between March 15th and June 1st Malthus will meet the need for accommodation for entrepreneurs at OSL Gardermoen in its existing camp Dal Overnatting which has its own canteen and 176 guest rooms with TV and internet access.
All reservations/booking that take place during the development period will be facilitated by Malthus and ISS.
Oslo Lufthavn AS (OSL) is the owner of and operator of the main airport of Norway, Oslo Airport at Gardermoen. It is wholly owned subsidiary of Avinor AS, the former Norwegian Air Traffic and Airport Management (NATAM).
The contract confirms Malthus’ leading market position of the accommodation camp concept. This is the third major rental contract the company is awarded in the last 9 months – with a total contract value of approx. 900 million NOK (115 mill. Euro).
