Malthus increases production capacity of formwork cassette panels
08.09.2008

The sales of Malthus formwork system and Malthus snapties have steadily increased over the last few years. From 2005 until today, Malthus has increased the sales of formwork by more than 50%. In light of this fact, Malthus has decided to increase our production capacity.

The Malthus group of companies has 220 employees and an expected turnover of 1 billion NOK, of which approx. 100 million will belong to formwork and other construction related equipment.

Malthus strengthens its position as the leading producer of formwork by the acquisition of the “Trollveggen” production line. The company Måndalen Trevare, having been a producer of panel system and furniture, has decided to cease the production of formwork system in order to focus on the furniture business. Malthus became the obvious candidate to take over the production and attend to the excisting customers for the “Trollveggen” panels.

As a consequence of this takeover, Malthus will be able to produce approx. 40 000 formwork systems per year. The Malthus formwork system are more in demand than ever before, and new production - and sales records have been reached. The customers range from private individuals to large construction companies. More and more people discover the incredible flexibility and low cost of using these panels. The Malthus formwork system can normally be re-used  more than 50 times, which contributes immensely to the economy of using them.

Floor panel system is a new product. Malthus has started production of specialized panels for use when making floors/ceilings. The days of huge waste of loose planks and plywood are over. Now you can just lay out the beams and put the formwork system on top, ready for the rebar reinforcement to be placed. It can not get any easier. After the concreting has been completed, the formwork are taken down to be cleaned – and used again.
