14 apartments for the elderly in Fjell municipality

Malthus AS has been awarded a contract for delivery of 14 apartments for the elderly, including several shared facilities for the occupants. The customer is Fjell municipality near Bergen. The building shall be constructed as a permanent one-floor facility with gabled roof and facade wallboards according to Malthus' own standard for care facilities. The building will be connected to an excisting nursing home by a roofed-over walkway.
This is the first such contract that is awarded to Malthus AS, and the building shall be handed over to the customer during the first quarter of 2009. The surface area of the building is approx. 850 square meters. The Bergen Malthus department aims to use this pilot project as a showcase that will be a basis for Malthus' continued development within the care sector. The value of the contract is between 10-15 million NOK.

There are several meetings taking place these days between the Fjell municipality and the users, and we assume that the first modules for the project will be delivered in the middle of January 2009.
